While scheduling may lead you to believe that the upcoming Miss Universe pageant is Miss Universe 2023, the award ceremony that will be held on January 14, 2023, is actually Miss Universe 2022.
This year's pageant, which is the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is the first of them all to have the Miss Universe Organisation run by a fully-female leadership team.
Now, with little time left to wait before we see 85 of the planet's most beautiful women on stage, voting is open.

Andrea Meza, Miss Universe 2021
The was Miss Mexico Andrea Meza, who finished ahead of Miss Brazil Julia Gama and Miss Peru Janick Maceta Del Castillo. Meza was 26 years of age and hails from Chihuahua City.
Meza is a woman of many talents, as she has a degree in software engineering and is also an activist. She has been working closely with the Municipal Institute for Women, an organisation that is striving to put an end to gender-based violence.
Additionally, Meza is a certified make-up artist and model. Plus, as if she wasn't busy enough, she is the official tourism brand ambassador for her hometown of Chihuahua City.
