This also grants those apps and websites access to your account and, in some cases, personal data and information, which you should only share with trusted platforms.
If you want to check who has access to your account on a regular basis, it's a simple process that also allows you to revoke access for any external apps or websites that you don't trust.
On the internet
The first thing you'll need to do is log in, so make sure you're using a secure browser and a secure password. Once logged in, click on the person icon in the top right corner of the screen, followed by the gear icon, to access your settings. Then, within your settings, you'll see 'Authorized Apps' listed as an option, which is where you can control these details.
This will show you a list of apps that have third-party access to your profile. If you want to remove any, simply go to that app's settings and select the 'Revoke access' option.
On the mobile application
Go to your profile by clicking on your profile photo in the bottom right of the screen, then clicking on the three line icon in the top right and selecting 'Settings'. Then select 'Security' and then 'Apps and Websites' to navigate to the appropriate section. When you get there, you'll see a list of apps that have third-party access to your Instagram account.
Choose the 'Revoke access' option for the app in question if you want to remove that access from any of the accounts.
