Movie star Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban, both 55, are planning on adopting a baby, according to reports. The celebrity couple already have two children but want even bigger family.
Kidman adopted two children with her first husband, Tom Cruise, but has little contract today with Connor and Isabella, both adults.
She has endured fertility problems in the past which have prevented her having the size of family she would have liked.
"Nicole has had pregnancy and fertility problems in the past that kept her family smaller than she had hoped for," a friend of the star told RadarOnline.com
"Nicole found she and Keith got so wrapped up in raising the kids, she put the idea of adopting out of her head.
"But now that the girls are becoming more independent, she sees it's time they really work on bringing another child into their home - and all the happiness that would bring to the family!"
Help from a friend
Kidman has been getting adoption tips from celebrity pal Charlize Theron who has two adopted children.
"Nicole sees how wonderful Charlize is with her two adopted daughters and how they've made this glorious bond as a family," said a source.
"It's been an inspiration to Nicole, and she believes she's still young enough and has the energy for another baby."
The age of Urban and Kidman might raise some eyebrows, especially if they adopt a baby.
To put it in context, they could be in their 70s before the child becomes an adult.
