Selena Gomez is setting the record straight about her shaking hands in makeup tutorials. On Jan. 25, the 30-year-old singer responded to a concerned fan over the TikTok video of her applying makeup-removing products.
"I shake because of my medication of lupus," she wrote. "Also read my disclaimer. I ain't no pro."
In the caption of the video, Gomez detailed the skincare regimen she uses to remove her makeup.
"PSA I got most of these products free," she captioned the TikTok. "I ain't just rolling like that everywhere. Use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely. Also use a sponge to wipe eyes to treat eyes delicately when removing make up. K I'm done pretending I know what I'm talking about."
The pop star has been open about her experience with the autoimmune disease since being diagnosed with it in 2014.
She also underwent a kidney transplant due to Lupus in 2017.
The inflammation due to the illness can cause inflammation in different parts and organs of the body, including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.
