According to a March 2020 report from E! News, Liam and Gabriella’s shared link to Australia strengthened their relationship. “The Australia connection is definitely nice for both of them,” an insider shared at the time. “She wants to be in Australia just as much as he does and they both really enjoy being there and spending time with family and friends. He doesn't feel like he is being pulled away.”

Per the same report from E! News, Liam returned home to Australia after his split from Miley, to spend time and regroup with family and friends in the coastal town of Byron Bay. Among his confidantes were brothers Chris and Luke Hemsworth, his parents, and ofc, Gabriella. “He needed to get out of town and away from it all to be able to get some perspective,” one source told the outlet.
“He is with the people he loves and just taking each day as it comes,” they added. “Everyone has been very supportive and trying to take his mind off of things. He's not in a rush to figure out where to go next.”
The Hunger Games star was reportedly “excited about dating Gabriella” at the time of the report. “His family really likes her and they have a normal relationship without drama,” an insider claimed.
One month later, in April 2020, one source told Entertainment Tonight that Liam and Gabriella’s relationship “can almost be described as the opposite of Miley.”
