After a year of wearing extreme thigh-high boots and superhero silhouettes, Kim Kardashian has pivoted her wardrobe in a new direction. Although the entrepreneur still embraces all things body-con, her most recent looks have taken on a newly casual bent – we’ve seen her pairing cropped vintage T-shirts and statement trousers. Her most recent outing followed this pattern, but with nods to the Y2K aesthetic.
While attending her son Saint’s basketball game over the weekend, Kardashian dished up an ensemble that was an ode to the Noughties. She wore a white printed off-the-shoulder T-shirt, blue shredded baggy jeans and a light blue pair of heels with a suitably Y2K pointed toe. Kim finished it all off with black square-frame Rick Owens shield sunglasses.
Think back to the early 2000s, when Kardashian and Paris Hilton were frequently spotted together accessorising their low-rise denim and going-out tops with giant handbags. Kim’s combination of distressed denim and asymmetric tee is giving us a case of fashion nostalgia.
